Love Your Gallery is a unique education program supported by Bendigo Art Galleries Schools Program Partner, Gandel Philanthropy, and aims to provide funding opportunities to regional and rural schools to visit Bendigo Art Gallery. In particular, the program enables schools demonstrating need to visit the Galleries latest international exhibitions.
I worked alongside the team at Bendigo Art Gallery in creating an elegant and vibrant logo and brand identity system, plus a raft of associated digital and print collateral for this unique and exciting education program.
The brand itself harnesses a timeless typographic elegance with a playful twist. Through the use of a unique and elegant slab serif typeface the logotype emits a poetic and curvaceous feel. Juxtaposed against the hard edged polygonal background, the logotype emits depth and personality whilst maintaining an energetic, engaging and contemporary feel, in line with leading high-end national and international galleries.
The identity integrates a changing colour palette of strong complimentary hues, along with subtle texture, depth and variation to create a striking yet fluid feel. The idea being that the primary colour can change and adapt across collateral to tie in visually with divergent exhibitions as they arise.
